Insurance Requirements

a)  Virginia law requires that all employees with three or more employees be covered by Workman's Compensation Insurance for accidents occurring on the job.  The cost of Workman's Compensation Insurance varies by industry and occupation, and the entire cost is paid by the employer.

b)  Other forms of insurance that should be considered before starting a business are Comprehensive General Liability Insurance, Comprehensive Fire Insurance, Theft Insurance, Bonding Insurance, and Health Insurance.
