Local and Regional Employers to Attend MECC Job Expo on October 10

 

Students and graduates of Mountain Empire Community College, as well as community members, will have the opportunity to meet employers at the upcoming 2007 Job Expo hosted in the Goodloe Center on campus.  Approximately 40 local and regional employers will attend the event, set for October 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  “This will provide an opportunity for current students and recent graduates to network with our local and regional employers,” says Dr. Jessica Genco, Career Services Program Director. 

The list of employers scheduled to attend the event includes: AIG Insurance, Alcoa Wheel Products; Appalachian Electric Power; BB&T; CGI – Lebanon; Comcast; Crutchfield; CVS Pharmacy; Eastman Chemical Company; Electro-Mechanical Corporation; Federal Bureau of Prisons (Lee County Prison); Department of Game and Inland Fisheries; Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy; Holston Medical Group; James H.
