Community Theatre Holds Auditions for A Doll’s House

The Mountain Empire Community Theatre announces auditions for the spring 2007 production of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House.  Auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Fugate Auditorium on the Mountain Empire Community College campus.  The auditorium is located in Dalton-Cantrell Hall.

A Doll’s House has roles for as many as five men, five women, and three children, characters aged three to eight.  Understudies are needed for every role.  The community theatre group plans to hold six performances of the play during the month of April.  All understudies will have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience since one of the six shows will be an “understudy performance night”.

Rehearsals for A Doll’s House will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights after 6:30 p.m., and will not begin until after January 9.  A complete rehearsal schedule will be issued to individuals cast as soon as possible.  All audition scenes and forms are available online for viewing, downloading, and/or printing at http://blog.myspace.com/mectheatre.
