Job Expo Hosted at MECC on November 8
Students and graduates of Mountain Empire Community
College, as well as community members, will have the opportunity
to meet employers at the upcoming 2006 Job Expo hosted in the Goodloe
Center on campus. Approximately 35 local and regional employers
will attend the event, set for November 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This will provide an opportunity for current students and
recent graduates to network with our local and regional employers,”
says Dr. Jessica Genco, Career Services Program Director.
As of October 5 the list of employers scheduled
to attend the event includes: Appalachian Electric Power; American
General Life and Accident Insurance Company; the Bristol Tennessee
Police Department; Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc.; CGI in Lebanon;
Comcast; Cumberland River Coal Company (a subsidiary of Arch Coal);
the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries; the Department of Mines,
Minerals, and Energy; Eastman Chemical Company; the Federal Bureau
of Prisons; Friendship Ambulance Service; Holston Medical Group;
Josh Morris Staffing; KCG Call Centers; the Kingsport Police Department;
