Huge Prizes Hallmark of Auto World-MECC Golf Classic

Fabulous prizes are characteristic of the Auto World – MECC Golf Classic, and this year the prizes just keep getting bigger and better.  At the event, scheduled for Friday, May 19 at Lonesome Pine Country Club, all players hitting a hole-in-one on hole #10 will win a 2006 Chrysler 300 from Auto World of Big Stone Gap.  Also included on the list of prizes for this year is a $1,000 cash prize for closest to the pin within 12 inches on hole #10.

All those participating in the Putting Contest will enter into a drawing for a chance to sink one putt at a distance no shorter than 50 feet to win $2,500 cash.  The Captain's Choice, four-person team, tournament will feature two flights, a chipping contest and a putting contest, "Most Accurate Drive" and "Closest to the Pin" prizes.  All par-3 holes will have fabulous hole-in-one prizes, which include a 4 day/3 night trip for two at SeaMist Resort in Myrtle Beach, two round-trip tickets on American Airlines, and a set of Tommy Armour Irons.

Entry fees are $100 per person and include continental breakfast, goodie bag, cart, green fees, range balls, boxed lunch delivered on the course, post-tournament cocktail reception, and many door prizes.  Hole sponsorships are available for a $100 tax-deductible gift to the MECC Foundation. Advertising signs will be placed on the golf course for all hole sponsors.
