The Mountain Empire and Cumberland Plateau e-Business Villages are offering a number of e-commerce classes and seminars in March. On March 9 at the Richlands Incubator and March 11 at the Duffield Pioneer Center, PayPal and Other Shopping Cart Options will be offered from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. This is a two hour evening seminar on ways to accept payment through your website.

CPEBV Coordinator Steve Beitz will go over several of the options available for both small and large businesses when selling products through a website and deciding how each business will accept payments. Business members in the audience can discuss what methods they are currently using and how well it is working for them. Admission for the seminar is $10.

On March 17 at the Richlands Incubator and March 18 at the Duffield Pioneer Center, E-Commerce Security will be offered from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This is an all day seminar on the very important issue of Internet Security. At this workshop, those in attendance will learn why information security is good business.

Richard Kissel, the Senior Information Security Analyst for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, will be the speaker at the Richlands Incubator seminar. The EBV staff will bring his presentation to the Duffield Pioneer Center. Admission for this seminar is $20 and includes a box lunch.
