Second annual MECC - Lee Regional Medical Center Golf Classic held to benefit scholarships

For the second year, Lee Regional Medical Center has partnered with Mountain Empire Community College Foundation in conducting a golf fund-raising event to provide scholarships for MECC students. As it did last year, LRMC gave a boost to fund-raising efforts by contributing $5,000 to the MECC Foundation for the general scholarship fund.

The golf tournament was held Friday, June 20, at the Cedar Hill Country Club. Twenty-five teams participated in the tournament, 24 local businesses sponsored holes, and numerous other businesses sponsored prizes to support the cause.
