April 1 is next in a series of free workshops available to small business owners

The Virginia Department of Business Assistance has partnered with public and private firms with a new series of workshops designed for small-business owners and other professionals who want to grow their businesses.

Growing Your Business, the next workshop in the eight-week series, will be held Tuesday, April 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Southwest Virginia Technology Development Center in Lebanon and via video conference at the Pioneer Center in Duffield.

The workshops are targeted to individuals who need help in starting their business and are looking to build skills in marketing, management, human resource, finance, and property management to run a profitable and stable business.

The workshops will run through June 10 and are led by professionals in their fields of expertise. Other workshops include: April 15 - Legal Issues and Risk Management, April 29 - Record Keeping and Financial Management, May 13 - Managing Employees, Insurance and Risk Management, May 27 - Finance Your Business, and June 10 - Real Estate Management and Investment.
