Global Road Warrior provides current physical and cultural geographical information for the world along with over 1,500 maps.  To access on campus, CTRL + click on the logo and start using.  To access from off campus, CTRL + click on the logo and when prompted, enter your library card number which is the six digits on the back of your student ID added after the following digits 27221000.

American History in Video from Alexander Street Press features over 1,200 streaming video titles illustrating American history.  Can be viewed at home or in the classroom.  To access both on and off campus, CTRL + click on the logo, then select a video, and select your college and when requested, enter your library card number which is the six digits on the back of your student ID card added after the following digits 27221000.

Credo Reference provides access to over 400 full-text reference titles in a variety of subject areas. Credo Reference titles are searchable via the Wampler Library online catalog and VCCS MetaLib.  To access on campus, CTRL + click on the logo and start using.  To access from off campus, CTRL + click on the logo and when prompted, enter your library card number which is the six digits on the back of your student ID added after the following digits 27221000.

NetLibrary offers access to over 6,000 full-text electronic books in a variety of subject areas. The NetLibrary collection is also searchable via the Wampler Library online catalog.  To access on campus, CTRL + Click on the logo and start using.  Please not that to use this service from your home computer, you will need to first open the service on campus and create a free personal account, by clicking on the Create a Free Account link at the upper right hand of the Net Library home page.

OverDrive, provided by VCCS / VIVA, offers access to over 600 audio book and video titles on topics taught at MECC as well as popular titles.  To access on campus, CTRL + click on the logo and start using.  To access from off campus, CTRL + click on the logo and enter the username and password that you use for MECC online and Blackboard when prompted.

Safari, provided by VCCS / VIVA, offers access to over 7,000 full-text electronic books in business and information technology.  To access on campus, CTRL + click on the logo and start using.  To access from off campus, CTRL + click on the logo and enter the username and password that you use for MECC online and Blackboard when prompted.

Thomson's Micromedex provides access to electronic resources in health sciences covering a variety of clinical topics including drugs, diseases, labs, toxicology, and patient education information. This database is available only to students in the Health Science programs and requires a user login and password.  For password access, check with a librarian.

Virginia's Community Colleges Library Services along with VIVA (The Virtual Library of Virginia) offer over 90 electronic databases with indexing and abstracting of magazines, newspapers, journals, and books, many in full-text.  To access on campus, CTRL + click on the logo and start using.  To access from off campus, CTRL + click on the logo and enter the username and password that you use for MECC online and Blackboard when prompted.
