National STAR Events Manual
Great news!  National FCCLA will provide the National STAR Events Manual on line as a free service to affiliated chapters, beginning in the fall of 2007 - ready for the 2008 events.  The new manual is now available and contains revisions to existing events plus the introduction of four new events. This new national manual will be used for the 2008 Virginia FCCLA events, to be held in Virginia Beach during the State Leadership & Recognition Conference, April 4-6.  Virginia FCCLA chapters will also need the information provided below in the Virginia State STAR Events Manual in order to register for and participate in all Virginia STAR Events.

Virginia's State STAR Events Manual ~ Updated below for 2008 events
The  manual for Virginia's STAR Events has been updated to reflect changes in the national events and the addition of new events for the 2008 competitions. The revised Virginia manual downloads for each event are posted below.

The introductory and general information file titled "An Introduction" contains critical instructions for ALL events and participants, including required forms such as the Chapter Entry Summary Sheet.  The "An Introduction" file must be downloaded along with the specific event entry forms, listed separately for downloading, by any Virginia FCCLA chapter whose members plan to participate in STAR Events.

The entry forms for specific Virginia FCCLA national and/or state STAR Events are listed separately for downloading.  Each event file also contains a sample evaluators' rating sheet.  If the event is "state only" (one which does not progress on to the national level), guidelines for the event are provided in the entry form file.
Click the red text in the right column to download the Virginia State STAR Events files (MSWord documents) ~ all files below have been updated on November 1, 2007 for the 2008 events.
