National
FCCLA Membership Campaign - "Be Part of It!"
Beginning in the fall
of 2004, the national FCCLA organization implemented a membership
campaign titled "FCCLA- Be Part of It!" Chapters who were
affiliated with the national organization by May of the school year
will automatically receive the membership kit in August of the new
school year. Chapters that were not affiliated in the previous
year should contact national FCCLA to request a copy of the membership
kit. Check the national FCCLA Web site at www.fcclainc.org
for more membership information.
Virginia
Membership Recognition
Each year, the Virginia Association honors FCCLA chapters for their
accomplishments in membership. Membership trophies, in the categories
listed below, are presented to those chapters in attendance at
the annual State Leadership & Recognition Conference.
The awards are based on affiliations received at national headquarters
postmarked by February 15. No application from the chapter is necessary
because the awards are based on information provided by the national
headquarters and on the chapter's state conference registration.
- New Chapter Award - recognizes new chapters and those
affiliating for the first time in three or more years
- 20+ Chapter - recognizes chapters increasing by 20 or
more members over the previous year's affiliation
- Middle Level Milestone - recognizes middle level chapters
who participate in the Middle Level Affiliation option through
national FCCLA, affiliating all FACS students as FCCLA members.
- Membership Milestone 50, 100, 150, 200, etc. - recognizes
chapters reaching a significant "milestone" in the number of chapter
members; awards are set in increments of fifty, beginning at fifty
members.
- Largest Chapter in the State - recognizes the chapter
with the greatest number of affiliated members
2008 Membership Award Recipients -
The Virginia Association of Family, Career and Community Leaders of
America recognizes the chapters listed below for their accomplishments
in member recruitment. These awards are given each spring at the State
Leadership and Recognition Conference to those chapters in attendance
at the conference. Awards at the conference are based on membership
figures as of Feb. 15.
The membership figures listed are based on the May 31, 2008 report
from national headquarters.
