Alumni Organization

and the state alumni achievement award.

Alumni & Associates are part of a network of adults who believe in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, its mission and purposes, and is key for anyone who is committed to investing in youth dedicated to becoming strong leaders in their families, careers and communities.

Virginia Alumni & Associates plays a major role in supporting the programs and activities of the student organization. A&A officers and members assist local chapters by serving as mentors for youth members, chaperones for chapter trips and activities, speakers at local FCCLA meetings, fundraisers, and as enthusiastic spokespersons in public relations efforts. At the state level, A&A members assume many responsibilities at the annual State Leadership & Recognition Conference. They coordinate the registration process, assist with staging and audio-visual productions, provide technical assistance, and present leadership workshops for student members. Many Virginia A&A members are former chapter members or state officers, but others are parents of FCCLA members or business/community leaders who have seen the benefits membership in FCCLA gives to today's youth and want to support these efforts.

Anyone interested in becoming a part of Alumni & Associates of Virginia FCCLA should contact Jenny Watson, Coordinator. An application form for A&A membership at the national level is provided on this Web site, as well as an application to hold an office in Virginia Alumni & Associates.
