Charter
Bus "Certificate of Additional Insured" Information
The following information
has been shared by national FCCLA, based on information from several
state FCCLA associations: "Chapters using a charter bus
company for any FCCLA trip should have a "certificate of additional
insured" for their chapter/district. This certificate
puts your school under the insurance of the charter bus company.
It does not cost the chapter or district any money. Only those
schools that have this certificate with the charter bus company
are covered under the charter company's insurance policy.
Always ask about this certificate if you are chartering a bus or
if you are riding a bus that someone else has chartered. If
the charter company will not give you this certificate, find a different
charter company for your business! Be sure to discuss this
with any charter companies you use."
