College Success Skills (Student Development/SDV
100)
The program is designed to acquaint new students with college
policies, procedures, and curricular offerings. Students are
introduced to college resources and services that will assist
them in making appropriate adjustments to their new academic
environment.
The class (SDV 100) is required of all students enrolled
in a degree/certificate program. Students who have completed
two semesters of college work at an accredited college or
university may request credit by previous completion or transfer
credit may be granted if an orientation class has been completed.
The Enrollment Services
office monitors registrations to enforce the SDV 100 College
Success Skills policy.
With approval from your instructor, alternate assignments are
available for students who cannot attend any of the outside
activities. A list of these assignments is provided below. See
your instructor to pick up a paper copy of the directions.
