Tuition
The tuition for all credit courses is set by the Virginia State Board of Community Colleges. The printed Class Schedule posts the most recent information on tuition.

A Virginia domicile is eligible for in-state tuition rates and is one who has been domiciled in, and is and has been a bona fide legal resident of Virginia for a period of at least one year immediately prior to the commencement of the term or semester of entitlement.

Under certain conditions, out-of-state residents who are employed or whose parents are employed within the Commonwealth of Virginia may be eligible for contract rates. Residents of certain Tennessee jurisdictions (Sullivan, Hancock, Hawkins, Claiborne, and the City of Kingsport) and Kentucky jurisdictions (Bell, Harlan, and Letcher counties) are also eligible for contract tuition rates and will be assessed the contract rate if eligible to pay in-state rates in their home state. Out-of-state students enrolled in high school dual enrollment classes are also eligible for the contract rate.

Fees
Fees are assessed to provide services to students which are not provided with tuition revenues.
