Dual Enrollment Classes Save Money

Dual Enrollment students get college credit at a greatly reduced cost.  In an agreement between MECC and the public school systems, high school dual enrollment students pay no more than 20% of the tuition and fee costs. 

An Example of the Money you Save.

For each class:  The full tuition and fees for a 3 credit class is $249.45.   Dual Enrollment students in one of the public schools in MECC's service region pays no more than $49.89 for this college class.  In some school systems, students pay only 10% of the cost of the class, which would be $24.95 per class.

While in High School:  A Dual Enrollment student who earns 12 college credits (four 3 credit classes) by the time he/she graduates from high school has paid between $99.80 to $199.56, instead of the regular tuition/fees cost of $997.80 This savings will range from $798.24 to $898.00.

If Attending a 4-Year College:  Students who attend a 4-year college and take classes that could have been acquired through Dual Enrollment, can pay at least $2,540.50 for the 12 credits that could have cost less than $100 or $200 (depending upon the school system) – a savings of more than $2,300 per semester!
