Who Is An Adult Re-entry Student?
An adult re-entry student, formerly known as a non-traditional
student, is any student over the age of 25 who has returned
to school after a 5+ year(s) absence from either high
school or a prior attempt at college.
Typically, re-entry students are those students who have returned to college for one or more of the following reasons: Financial difficulty due to job loss or inability to advance in career due to lack of degree/credentials First opportunity to attend college comes once children are in school or leave home Personal and professional growth pursing education as a lifelong dream or updating skills to grow professionally Displaced
