Admission Process and Deadlines

Old Dominion University is a selective admission institution. Admission is open to all qualified students regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, veteran status, disability, political affiliation or sexual orientation.

Admission to Degree Status

Qualified applicants may be admitted as degree seeking students to the University. Applicants must file an application, $30 fee, and official transcripts by established deadlines in order that an admission decision can be made in advance of registration. If you have taken less than 25 credit hours at another college or university, you will need to submit a high school transcript. Undergraduate admission is good for one year as long as you do not enroll in another institution. The application deadlines for formal admission into degree status program are as follows:

*Graduate applicants should note special program deadlines. Many graduate programs have earlier deadlines. Students who are nonnative speakers of English must meet University English proficiency requirements prior to registration.
